Ponti’s Italian Kitchen has broken new ground with the fabulous official opening of its first restaurant outside the capital, located at Fox Valley, Sheffield.
Stardust was provided by Joanna Lumley OBE, who marked the launch of the new £50 million development at Fox Valley, which includes a number of prestigious retailers, for shopaholics, and Ponti’s, for lovers of authentic Italian food.
“It was an unforgettable day and a superb way for us to tell people that we’re open,” said General Manager Argys Myrtja. “Joanna Lumley made a real impact from our top balcony and in spite of the weather there was a great crowd to witness the event.” Argys has worked for Ponti’s in London for four years, but had no hesitation in re-locating to Sheffield to help open the new restaurant. “We have a great team here who are all champing at the bit to bring a great Italian dining experience to the area.”
The Fox Valley development has transformed a 28-acre former steelworks, with the emphasis on a high quality build that has been ten years in the planning. Later in the year, Next and other retailers move in to complete the project.
